About Hamody Jasmim
My name is Hamody Jasim, author of the book, The Terrorist Whisperer. I was a part of the Iraq war, as an Iraqi Army sergeant major: the highest enlisted rank. It was my main mission to keep both Iraqi and Coalition troops safe within the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. My team and I had lots of success along with some tragedy during “The Surge;” however, what we learnt about the many threats facing American troops within their combat area of operations is something U.S. Intelligence community would find invaluable.

I realize that most Americans know very little to nothing about the “insider threat” facing American troops. So, I decided to make this film myself in hopes of not only telling my personal story and those with whom I served, but also to inform and educate those who want to understand and maybe how to combat the threat.
Many Americans serving in Iraq and Afghanistan have lost their lives by the hands of the enemy who recruits those who will have access to locations where U.S. military personnel are.

Though still very dangerous, I have exposed my identity to let people know that I saved as many Americans as I could in Iraq, and for years I fought side by side with the American Coalition to fight radical Islam.

I may not have known many of the American troops I saved, I never knew their ethnicity or background, and I never judged them off skin color. I fought for them because they were Americans, and I was obliged to help so they could get back home to their families. I was proud of all the work I did every day with the Americans and would never change one day of it.
I worked three years on this project so people around the world could see that in war there was no color, no politics and no religion. We fought together as Americans.
This is the first time a military Intelligence documentary has been released to the public. The audience will see combat footage as they have not ever seen it before — anywhere. It will also be the first time the audience will get to see confiscated footage from terrorists’ cameras.

It will take the viewers behind the scenes of what happened on the ground during the toughest times in Iraq: The Surge. The film features former director of the CIA and retired U.S. Army General David Petraeus, Jasim, and other high-ranking U.S. Army officers of the U.S. Intelligence community. I am truly honored to be part of the American Coalition and to also be able to bring my story to the American people.
